PRESCHOOL PROGRAM
Essential Foundations
Christian Community School's preschool program offers a biblically integrated experience for children ages 3-5. Our preschool teachers foster a loving, supportive environment with low student-teacher ratio.
We focus on:
-
Developing fine and gross motor skills
-
Foundational academic concepts
-
Developing social skills
-
Multi-sensory and creative play
-
Indoor and outdoor play
Bible stories and prayer time are included in daily activities.
PreK 3-4 Program: This program introduces basic academic concepts with a focus on play-based learning, social skill development, and following directions.
PreK 4-5 Program: This program reinforces basic academic concepts and social skills with a focus on kindergarten readiness.
Students are assessed throughout the school year to monitor progress.
Preschoolers must be independent in toileting as a requirement for enrollment into CCS's preschool program. Independence in toileting is a developmental milestone that is a strong indicator of readiness for preschool. Inconsistency in toilet training may indicate that the child is not yet ready for more structured group routines. This article on readiness provides additional information on this policy.
