Our Story
Christian Community School is a place where children are discipled into young men and women of God, who can then effectively impact for the world for Jesus Christ. It's our goal to partner with you as parents, to help prepare your children for advancing the Kingdom of God in our communities and beyond.
From our beginnings in a small house in Westlake, to outgrowing the Field Sweet building in North Ridgeville, and finally, to our current home on 14 acres in North Eaton, CCS has always been rich in community. Our desire to educate while instilling a deep, abiding love and understanding of Christ is present in all we do.
What began in a small house has grown into a 3-story building, Legacy Gym, and 14 acres! • Spring 1994: Former parents and teachers of a local area Christian school gather to answer the question: How can we continue to provide a biblically sound Christian education to the Greater Cleveland Suburbs? • Summer 1994: A steering committee establishes Christian Community School with the state of Ohio. • September 1994: CCS leases a house-church in Westlake, opening its doors with 75 students and 10 teachers. • 1995-2002: CCS outgrows Westlake and moves to the Field Sweet Building in North Ridgeville. Enrollment exceeds 250 students! • 2002: CCS purchases the former Eaton School on Rt. 82, relocating 9-12th grades to its first floor. •2003: All of CCS moves to the Rt. 82 building. • 2005: The Legacy Group purchases additional land and begins the construction of the Legacy Gym. •2017: CCS launches a preschool program. • 2023: CCS officially becomes accredited with ACSI and chartered with the Ohio Department of Education.
